Reporting to the Vice President and Corporate Controller, this position will be
responsible for financial analysis, building financial models, creating reports,
carrying out research, providing relevant and timely analytics/analyses, identifying
critical business issues, evaluation of operations, initiatives or strategies, and
making recommendations to aid and support executive decision making. Also
responsible for loading financial data into Great Plains and utilizing Jet Reports and
Smart eVision software.
Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To:
1.Prepare periodic executive analysis package, including comments on current
conditions, trend analysis, operational/industry/economic issues, comparisons to
budget, market share tracking and other pertinent company info.
2.Research and analyze industry and competitor information.
3.Review operational results, recommend areas for analysis, perform analyses and
make recommendations for changes/improvements.
4.Perform special financial studies to present to management in conjunction with
recommendations concerning proposed plans.
5.Collect data, develop financial modeling, perform analysis, and present
recommendations for various projects.
6.Present analysis results and make recommendations to executive and senior
7.Assist in the preparation/consolidation of annual budgets and forecasts
8.Develop models to update annual forecasts periodically based on actual results.
9.Assist in preparing the monthly consolidation and financial reporting package.
10.Responsible for loading monthly financial statement data into Great Plains
software and producing financial reports in Jet Reports software and Smart eVision
11.Assist the Director of IT on successfully implementing an analytics platform that
improves organizational decision making. This will be done by identifying candidate
technology products, developing an implementation project plan, and managing the
project to successful completion.
12.Assist ONI operating companies in utilizing data in financial reporting system
and function as the internal "expert" in data maintenance, report writing and trouble
13.Assist with treasury matters and serve as the back-up for preparing the
borrowing base report.
14.Develop standards and metrics used to evaluate effectiveness, productivity and
comparability of ONI operating companies.
15.Assist Chief Financial Officer and Vice President & Corporate Controller in
various special projects/analysis.
Required Skills: To qualify for consideration an applicant must possess the following
skills. Possession of these skills is a prerequisite for employment.
Education: A bachelors degree in accounting, finance, economics or management
information systems. A bachelors degree in other fields is acceptable if the individual
has an MBA or advanced business degree.
Prior Experience: 3 years of experience in a financial analysis role with a company
with over $250 million in annual revenue.
