The individual will be responsible for supporting the U.S. International tax function,
Assist in development and implementation of tax planning strategies in support of
Symantecís global growth strategies and initiatives
Perform tax research and analysis involving foreign tax credits, subpart F, digital
services, withholding taxes and related treaty implication, and foreign currency
Team and support internal business partners to address tax impact related to new
products and services.
Assist with planning of cross-border M&A and post-acquisition integrations.
Work closely with Treasury in managing global cash and repatriation opportunities.
Review tax attributes (e.g., E&P, foreign tax pools, stock basis) documentation and
US international tax compliance including foreign tax credit reporting (Form 1118),
foreign affiliate information returns (Forms 5471), foreign disregarded entity returns
(Forms 8858), and other disclosures statements.
Coordinate and support quarterly and year-end tax provision process as it relates to
US international tax matters and special transactions.
Partner with EMEA and APAC regional tax leaders and external advisors in
monitoring BEPS developments and local legislative developments.
Review licensing, customer and intercompany agreements.
Ability to work independently and team effectively with cross-functional teams,
willingness to take ownership of projects, and have strong project management skills
Bachelorís degree from an accredited college/university or foreign equivalent in.
Accounting, Tax, Finance, Economics, Business administration, or related field.
Master's in Taxation (MST) a plus.
CPA desirable with experience from the Big Four Accounting Firms.
Minimum of 7 years of broad experience in international corporate taxation.
